Almost Weekend

Nothing much has happened since last blog.  Just working.

Been practicing with my pool table.  Getting used to hitting the ball certain ways to get it to go where I want.  Also practicing jumping the ball, which is tons scarier with my pool table.  had no problem playing on other tables.  just don't want to get new felt so soon.

just looking forward to the weekend.  it's a 3 day for me.  so it gives me a chance to relax.  i'm happy about that for a change.

my sister went to europe on wednesday.  she'll be gone for about 5 weeks.  real glad she's going.  she just finished school, and if she doesn't go now...she will never have the opportunity to do this.  that's what i really regret...working right away.  wish i took some time off and did a little bit of traveling.

going to head to bed.  i'll be posting another pic as soon as i get it ready.  pretty much me with a mohawk.  if that peaked your attention let me know.

before i forget.  had a run in with a virus on our computer.  pop ups were coming up like crazy....and they were coming up before any windows were open.  norton couldn't find anything.  spybot..nothing.  adaware..nothing.

ended up doing a system restore for about a month ago...that did the trick.  just had to reload our scanner..and my ipod software.  oh yeah...I LOVE MY 40 GB IPOD.

IT'S BEEN A WHILE

Been awhile since my last post.

not much has happened.  another week went by...went bowling twice.
got a new videogame.  espn nfl 2k5...awesome deal at $20

had a birthday party for sheila's dad...learned how to play pool a little more.

teenz had a birthday...didn't get a chance to say happy birthday.  although i sent her an email and she didn't reply.

maria said teenz has big boobs.  hmmmmmm.....i should pay more attention to her boobs and not her ass...hahahahahhaa.

oh yeah...had a mohawk for 20 minutes.  now i'm completely bald again.  sorry all.  i'll post pics...although it looks more like airline strips for the down under on the girls.

yay sheils

if you read sheils blog.....you already know that she got into the masters of occupational therapy program.  why does that sound like it's a rock group.

anyways....i'm proud of her....i know it requires saving and a budget...but i think we'll be fine.  just have to be smart with the money and can't buy too many extravigant things.

that's why i'm getting my ipod this weekend.  especially with the lowered price.  hahahahahhaha.

other than that....not much else i have to write.

talk to you guys later.

Reflection

Every now and then...you realize how important the people around you are.

Even those that you're not super tight with, but yet...still see every now and then.

I'm pretty much thinking for our friend Sabrina's husband Jeff.  Who we met at Myline and Jon Sacdalan's wedding.  Sabrina has been a real close friend of ours since Jeff Sacdalan's wedding.  But we finally got a chance to meet her husband and baby.

Anyways, we received a surprise phone call from her...and she mentioned that she's staying in Portland for a couple of months after living in Arkansas for about a couple of years.
Then she mentioned that her husband is currently serving a tour in the desert.  He is probably the closest person I know that is currently serving in the armed forces.
Just got me to think because of the fact that he's one of many people who are serving their country so that people like myself have the opportunity to bitch about stupid shit on the internet every day.

All I have to say is that...never take shit for granted...be lucky that you're able to do what you're doing right now...I sometimes forget this.  But get reminded through so many different things.

Well this is my reflection.

Thanks for sharing in it.

Weekend

Weekend is finally here.

Finally...had one of the toughest work weeks i'll ever have.  but what can you do.  it's expected as such.  Sad thing is that i've had a pretty rough week...that's for sure.  anyways.

just looking forward to relaxing.  that's all that matters to me right now.

anyways....don't you hate whenever people constantly misspell your name.  really bites.  always happens.  how hard is it to spell guiao.  nope...it's spelled gumo on my new slam magazine subscription.  sad but true.

sheils and i are planning on heading to the henry ford museum tomorrow....haven't been there in years.  looking forward to it actually.  curious to see what they have there.

feeling lazy right now.  not sure if i want to do the lawn or if i just want to relax for the day.  who knows.

my sister is leaving for europe in a week and a half.  not really worried for her like my parents are.  but of course...there's always that concern.

get to finally play ball on sunday.  haven't played since the 4th.  just happy to get my game going....that and the weightlifting should be cool.  GOT TO GET RIPPED BOY.

well....1 more year for batman begins.  i'm psyched to see that and star wars episode 3.  call me a geek...but i'll start my countdown anyway.  oh yeah..sheils said we got a scanner...meaning that i will actually be putting up a website of our wedding pictures.  TOO EASY.

well...i'll type at this later.

What a WEEK!!!!!

First off, Does anybody else think it's weird that shaq is going to the miami heat. for pretty much the entire heat team. i think that's a huge mistake on the heats part. plus i thought that shaq would retire a laker. just messed up how things get in professional sports. not as much loyalty between players and management anymore.

anyways....work bit this entire week. had to do so many different things for so many different people...with a ton of deadlines. it bit. but what can one do. it's what you get paid for. it's also the part of the job that i really don't like.

thought i can blow off some steam this weekend. went to a bridal shower for my godsister leizl...who's getting married in october. i hate to say this...but it was dragged out. way too many games...not everybody was involved. it was hard to hear over people...because they didn't have a microphone. i love my godsister...we grew up together...pretty much a whole group of us are another family. but i have to admit. the girl is really immature and doesn't think too well. also because she's had a very spoiled life...and her parents bailed her and her brothers out of everything. have to admit though. she's real lucky that her parents are paying for the reception. i couldn't imagine not paying for our reception...that's for sure.

also had a halo party last night. that ended up being a complete bust. we didn't really even play. i was worried that we might not have 16 people. so what happens. we get people to invite people..and they invite somebody. and so on and so forth. what happens. too many people we didn't know playing. so what did most of us end up doing. played pool. ended up being ok to hang out with my friends. but a real big bust in terms of playing halo. that's for sure. not a good thing. so it wasn't really a halo party. i'll do another one sometime. but with just our friends and some other invitees. but yesterday the invitees got really out of hand.

tired as hell. today i'm just looking to relax and not think about anything till i have to work tomorrow.

oh yeah...started weightlifting again. goal is to get muscular for my australian vacation next year. just have to keep it going. i have no excuses...and i have the best muse in my wife. ahhh....so cheesy i am.

Holiday Monday

Well,

near the end of the holiday weekend.
have to say that it was very fun. alot more fun than i thought it would be.

Went to a wedding on Saturday, Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Jon Sacdalan. Thought it would be pretty blah. ended up being real fun. It's nice when you can dance at other people's weddings. Sheils and I got pretty drunk, most we've ever drank in the longest.

Also danced to every song...which was real cool. just had a real great time. Thank god Jay drove us home...would've bit if we couldn't get our car home.

Played ball yesterday with my boys...even though it rained for most of the day...it stopped around 6 pm. so it worked out. definitely couldn't complain about it. Was a real good workout.

oh yeah...also got to see spiderman 2 yesterday morning. if you haven't seen it...i highly suggest you check it out. definitely a great movie. i like the story arc that they're working with. also i love the fact that they're developing the relationships between the 3 main characters...and treating this trilogy like 1 big movie so to speak. real good.

biggest surprise of the week....sabrina came into town with her husband and baby. Big surprise since she wasn't expected to come to the wedding and she decided thursday night to come in. Either way...she was supposed to be one of our bridesmaids, but she couldn't make it because of the baby. Real good to see her, we haven't seen her since 2000. her husband is cool too...he's in the armed services....real cool guy, actually felt like i knew him longer when we were hanging out and talking.

well...have to work again tomorrow...definitely going to be a real busy week for me. not looking forward to that. but we'll see how things go.

anyways...hope you all have a good one.

oh yeah...spiderman 2 is a great game for the consoles...tons of fun...and the free roaming city is amazing. perfect game for the character...actually i wish all superhero video games are made like spiderman 2. because it's just down right perfect.
