THANKS

Well,
another start to another week. I hate mondays. means that i have to go to work.

but...i do what i got to do to get paid.

I want to say thanks for all of the birthday greetings that i've received. my godbrother jay jay took us out to dinner last saturday. we headed out to red coat tavern. if you guys never been...really good food there.

anyways...that was real cool of him. the guy is like one of the "little brothers i've never had"...so i was very touched when he invited us out.

sunday...went to apple harvest festival at freedom hill. a festival for sheila's church. it was alright. ate a bit. nice to see all of her choir friends. just funny how much of an age gap there is between her and all of them.

my chris webber authentic college jersey came in today. great deal for only 30 dollars. I LOVE EBAY DAMNIT.

oh yeah...some other points....got a call from Maria and Rhands before they flew out on their month long trip. i miss that girl's voice. but that was real cool that she called before they flew out. hope they having fun. sounded like a real kick ass trip.

also got another call from Jeff and Sabrina on saturday night. that really surprised me...totally unexpected. jeff got a 3 month leave from his tour because his grandmother passed away (Our condolences bro). but it is nice that he gets to spend time with his wife and child. especially since they've both been missing him like crazy.

well...not much else other than that...but it's all good.

oh yeah...FANTASY FOOTBALL.
3-0 baby. going through the competition. my team is performing amazingly. beat my opponent this week, and i still have a Wide Receiver and the Redskins defense tonight. YEAH BUDDY!!!!!

if anybody is interested in Fantasy Basketball, please comment.
It'll be a $50 buy in. just wondering who is interested. also leave your e-mail if you want to be in.

talk to you guys later.

GO ME...IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!

Usually it's weird because birthdays are supposed to be a time for celebration.

today was weird because i went back into work after a little vacation. have to say that i thought my day would go better.
but i had a talk with my director about some of my work. i admit...i've been a little careless. so it was more of a wake up call. have to buckle down.

anyways, i just thought i'd have a terrible birthday. also because i wasn't feeling well.

but

then i got home.
i saw my wife.
she reminds me why it's hard for me to be sad.
she gave me another birthday card, besides the one i woke up to this morning.
that was enough for me.
but then she got me two football jerseys...michael vick college alternative, and barry sanders college. she is just simply amazing.
went to dinner with her parents...they didn't have to, but they insisted on taking me out. i'm lucky to have inlaws that are like my own parents.
saw my parents earlier in the day, i love when my mom gives me hugs. that's when i really get homesick.
my sister called me during her lunch break.
my brother called me during the night.
sheila's brother got me the star wars dvd set.
(maria) had some great words for me on her website.
al sent me an e-card.

the older i've gotten, the more i've realized that birthdays and christmas is never about what you get. but more about appreciating the love you are surrounded by. knowing that i have friends and family like all of you.

and knowing that my wife will love me unconditionally, is worth more than any present.

to everybody.
thank you so much for making my day amazing.

i can't say this enough

I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!

Returning from Rhode Island

First off,

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Bill and Sherry Flaherty.

Sheils and I went to Newport, Rhode Island over the weekend for their wedding. Have to admit...Newport is a very beautiful city, lots of history and great sights. Could've seen more, but we were pretty busy with the wedding stuff.

I have to admit...this is definitely one of the coolest and most fun weddings I have ever been to. The rehearsal dinner was just like the reception, best thing was that they invited everybody who was coming to the reception. All you can eat lobster and clams. plus a sweet table and open bar to die for.

the wedding itself was at the eisenhower house. great location, it was supposed to be outside, but we were going through hurricane ivan rains. the wedding ended up being indoors, but it was great...had a ton of fun. food was amazing with all you can eat lobster tails and tuna steaks. plus they had a raw oyster bar. the reception proper ended at 10 pm...but there was a reception after glow at the hotel. That pretty much lasted till 2 am. Just a real great night to hang out and meet people. we danced alot. you can imagine the look on some people's faces when i put my ass out on the floor and freaked like a girl. PRICELESS!!!!!!

this weekend, we hung out with Tophy and Josie Dannug, Brian Miciano, and Elaine DelPilar. Had a great time with everybody. Realized how much I miss hanging with these guys. Definitely going to make it a point to hang more often. I know I say that alot, but it's one of the things that I definitely want to do.

I never ate so much lobster in my life. Plus everybody was real welcoming and everything was real cozy. Ended the whole wedding weekend this morning with a post wedding brunch. Great way to wind down the weekend and say bye to the bride and groom.

being at the wedding and seeing and feeling all of the love over the weekend, just kept me realizing how happy and fortunate i am to have great friends.

got home today at about 2:30 pm. took a longer nap than i was supposed to. went to dinner with my family for my mom and dad's 33rd wedding anniversary. Also for my birthday (2 more days). I covered the bill. figured my parents don't need to pay for their anniversary dinner. I could be a good son once in a while.

this summer, sheils and i have been to so many weddings...and i have to say that they have all been awesome experiences.

sheils and i have the day off tomorrow, so we're going to take advantage of it and relax and just hang. love hanging with her. it's a great feeling to know that the person that i love the most is also my best friend.

WHATTA DAY!!!!

Well, one more day of work this week. Then i'm off to Rhode Island for Sherry's Wedding. Anyways, today really bit. Got into a car accident this morning.
Yeah, this lady hit me from behind and knocked me into a car in front of me.
Ended up going to work. Couldn't miss a day.
Cool thing is that my car wasn't too badly damaged. Just a little surface dent in the rear and Scuffs in the front.
Came out with the least amount of damage between the 3 cars.
One more week till Star Wars DVD & Def Jam 2.
Oh yeah 7 more days till my birthday.
YAY ME !!!!!!!
Had a great start to Fantasy Football. Ahman Green sealed the win for me last night. Would like to get 2 in a row. Need good games from Brady & Green. Not going to screw myself over by playing Garner again.
I do love the fact that Sheils knows whats going on in sports. Makes me realize how lucky I am to be married to her.
I know stupid reason, but it's just one of many.

Holiday Weekend

Whew....what a holiday weekend.

Been pretty busy, but i have to admit. It was definitely a good weekend.

Saturday, Ryan and Lorie got married. Definitely one of the coolest weddings i've seen. The chapel was a real cool set up. So was the reception. Definitely had a lot of fun, and a great bonus was to see people who i haven't seen in the longest. I know I say this, but I will definitely do a better job of keeping in touch with people.

Sunday, well....I played ball with my boys at a different park. Was a really good park actually...had the lines and everything. The only problem was that the rims are a little shorter than 10 feet. Don't matter...still get to work on my game.
Played for about 3 hours. Broke out a great sweat...and got to help my friend leonard win his bet.
After that, we had a board game party at my house. Less people than we expected, but have to admit that it was very fun. Sheils and I won both Trivia Pursuit DVD Pop Culture and Scene it. However, Trivia Pursuit was really won by Al and Seb, but something happened, and they kinda got screwed. Lasted till about 3 am that night.

Today, more of a relaxation day. Went to Old Navy, which is becoming one of my favorite places to shop. Then went to my parents house and hung out with my family. Something that we all haven't done in the longest time. That's something that i'm definitely going to be more involved with. Another thing that is very cool is that my niece is starting to recognize me and start playing with me. She's not as scared as she used to be. Doesn't matter anyway...that little girl is always going to be loved by me.

Glad I got tomorrow off, gives me a chance to relax and just get myself together before i have to work again. Although the next two weeks i will only be working 3 days each.

Officially have 10 more days before we go to Rhode Island. Can't wait.

Talk to you guys later.

LABOR DAY

Finally, another holiday weekend.

Definitely been looking forward to this, especially since this is a 4 day weekend. so it should be really nice.
Found out that one of our friends, Mari-ela is moving to Wisconsin. She got an anchor job with a news station over there. This is pretty much the break that she's always wanted.
She'll be closer, so we'll probably be making a few trips over there so she doesn't feel too alone.

Other than that, have a few plans for the weekend. Most of it will be hanging out. Not really too much other than that.

I'll hit back another time soon.

Later
